Get Ready for Electric and Hydrogen Porsches

Porsche has impressed the world mightily with its hybrid offerings. The 918 Spyder is obviously nothing short of incredible, but the Hybrid Panamera is no slouch either. According to a slide of a presentation photographed by Autocar, full electric and hydrogen models are now in the Porsche pipeline.

While the electrification isn’t terribly surprising to me, given the success of the Tesla Model S, the upcoming Audi R8 E-Tron, and the myriad other electric sports cars entering the market, but the hydrogen fuel cell thing does surprise me. Elon Musk might call them “fool cells,” but East Asian automakers are betting on the technology while Aston Martin is playing around with a dual fuel (hydrogen/gasoline) twin-turbo V12. This is why I love Aston Martin so much, but I digress. I’m interested to see what shape (literally) these cars end up taking.
