If you need a way to move people and stuff around your city, a compact SUV is often the way to go. Hyundai has unveiled the latest version of its Tuscon small SUV. The new Tucson has a new design both outside and in and is built for efficiency.
The new Tucson is longer, wider, and has a longer wheelbase than the old version. The standard engine in the car is a 2.0L four with 164hp and 151 lb-ft of torque with a 6-speed transmission. That base engine is good for 31 mpg on the highway. Optional power is a 1.6L turbo engine with 175hp and 195 lb-ft of torque good for up to 33mpg on the highway in Eco mode.
Like most Hyundais, it’s also packed with tech. The Tucson gets optional LED twin projector headlights, LED running lights, and LED headlight accents. Buyers can option the SUV with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, lane change assist, backup sensors, and a rear view camera is standard.
The car will hit dealerships this July at an undisclosed price.
