Pastor “Crashtor” Maldonado is best known for being a Lotus F1 driver who often drives his car into things. It’s usually other peoples’ cars, but sometimes he crashes all by himself. Is putting him in the seat of a car that is designed for Mad Max‘s post-apocalyptic vehicular combat a terrifying move, a brilliant one, or both?
Honestly, I think this is a brilliant opportunity. One of my favorite games as a kid was Bioware’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Racing. It was a top-down racer with some tracks that remind one a bit of Global RallyCross, and in which you raced against and shot violent aliens. It’s a very good time, and you should check it out at The Internet Archive. Perhaps Maldonado would be better in a hyperviolent rally series against aliens and criminals?
