Tesla Model S P85D vs. Ferrari 458 Speciale Drag Race

Its a match that sounds counterintuitive – a powerful, $250,000+ V8 powered Italian supercar vs. a $105,000 all-electric American luxury sedan. But based on horsepower and drivetrain alone, you might even give the edge to the Tesla, with the 458 sending 596 horses to its rear wheels only, and the P85D pushing more than 690 horses to all four wheels.

Of course, the Ferrari has a 2,200 lb weight advantage. While there’s little doubt the 458 would outpace the Tesla above 100mph, and totally kill it in the corners, the P85D definitely can hold its own in the 1/4 mile. Watch the video now to see who wins, and then be rewarded with the F1 quality exhaust note of the 458 Speciale.
