Idiots Put Their Babies on Strangers’ Exotic Cars
When I was in my early 20s, a good friend of mine bought a brand new blue Toyota Corolla. To christen it, we drove to the farmer’s market for our weekly grocery run. I finished shopping before he did, so I walked out into the parking lot, set my bags on the hood of his car and then stood there waiting. When he came out – he freaked! He screamed at me to take my bags off of his hood and couldn’t believe I could be that disrespectful. I didn’t apologize, because, come on, it was a Corolla, and we didn’t speak for a while. In hindsight, I was 100% wrong. A person’s new car is a person’s new car, no matter what the make and model, and putting two heavy bags of groceries on its hood could actually have dented it.
This experience came back to me when I watched a video with a similar theme that has been making the rounds on the web. The clip shows two parents at an exotic car rally putting their toddler on the hood of a series of six-figure cars, including a Ferrari, Lambo and a Benz SLS, so they can take cute pics with their phone cameras. The parents are oblivious to how incredibly rude they are being, and the only thing that shocks me more than their actions is the fact that one of the car owners doesn’t jump into the frame and snatch the baby off of their exotic ride.
As always, I love to check out the comments on videos like this. Here’s my fave: “Get your kid off the hood because f you… That paint is more expensive than one of your kidneys!!!”
