Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce: 217 mph Roadster

I’ve been in a convertible at around 130 mph before and it sounds like your ears will explode at any second. I can only imagine how loud it would be with the top off a car at 217 mph. But that is the top speed of the new Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce Roadster according to Lambo.

The car uses a big 750 hp 6.5-liter V12 to get there. That big V12 makes 509 lb-ft. of torque and can reach 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds. All that power goes to the road via a Haldex Generation IV 4WD system and the transmission is a 7-speed ISR, controlled by flappy paddles. Its removable hardtop is made using carbon fiber. That light material makes the hardtop weigh just 13.2 pounds, and it is small enough to store in the trunk.

Production of the Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce Roadster kicks off in 2016 at a base price of $530,075(USD).
