Take a Spin in the Most Bonkers Bentley Ever

The folks at Bentley got their knickers in something of a bunch recently when they saw the design of the new Lincoln Continental, which they claimed to be a bald rip-off of Bentley’s own Flying Spur. Well, no one in their right mind will confuse the new Bentley Continental GT3-R coupe with anything Lincoln is rolling off the production line. With its swooping lines, carbon fiber front splitter and rear wing, and black 21-inch wheels, the massive, sporty two-door GT3-R is sure to claim pole position at valet stands everywhere. That is, if you have a little north of $340,000 in your pocket.

Despite weighing nearly 5,000 pounds, the GT3-R delivers high-performance results, with a 0-to-60 sprint in 3.3 seconds, making it the fastest road-legal Bentley ever. The root of the GT3-R’s gaudy track times: a 4.0-liter, DOHC 32-valve twin turbo V8—borrowed from Audi’s RS7—which generates 571 horsepower and 515 lb-ft. of torque.

Sure, Motor Trend’s video narration drives British stereotypes harder than they pilot the car itself. But it’s worth the minor annoyance to take a long look at the newest, boldest Bentley yet.
