2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Tears over Sand Like It’s Nothing

While it’s not the most exciting driving footage of an F-150 Raptor I’ve ever seen, I’m excited to see the 2017 model being tested, because that just means it’s getting closer to production, and that means it’s one step closer to being driven by yours truly.

Recently, Ford shared some behind-the-scenes testing footage of the bad boy of the F-150 family as an engineering prototype made quick work of loose sand at the dunes in Michigan’s Silver Lake State Park. Its impressive grip and torque makes driving over such a challenging terrain look easy.

Next time though, I’d rather hear the exhaust note of the Raptor than the drone flying overhead. And while we wait for the new Raptor to hit dealers, here’s some great footage of a previous-gen Raptor really showing off its chops:
