Has McLaren cracked the code to create a supercar that functions as a daily driver? The team at XCar gives a neon-green McLaren 570S a whirl to see how it compares to the comparably priced Audi R8 and Porsche 911. There’s no denying the seductive looks of the gorgeous “entry-level” 570S, and the video lovingly details those appealing lines, which date back to the original concept drawings for the car from 2012.

With a 0-60 time of 3.2 seconds putting it neck-and-neck with the R8 and 911, McLaren isn’t sacrificing performance for a car that clearly delivers as a comfortable commute ride. Aiming for a production of 4,000 570S vehicles by 2017, McLaren is shooting to broaden its audience and footprint on international streets. I know I for one am looking forward to seeing one of these in the flesh soon, but until then, this video provides a loving look.
