Bone Stock Shelby GT350 Runs 0-to-170 MPH with Ease

The folks over at Hennessey Performance Engineering have purchased a Shelby GT350 that is undoubtedly destined for life as a mule for developing upgrades. Before they set to modifying the car, they went out for a baseline test. In this video we see that factory stock GT350 go from a standstill to 170 mph.

Since the launch and shifting wasn’t perfect, the car reached 60 mph in an underwhelming 5.4 seconds, then reached 100 mph in 10.4 seconds, but the impressive part was seeing it achieve top speed. It took 39.1 seconds for the car to reach 170 mph with the final top speed listed at 171.6 mph.

That is fast for a factory built car in anyone’s book. Check out the video below to see the top speed run. I’m sure the next time we see this particular car on video it will be modified and much faster.
