Lamborghini Countach: The Lambo to End All Lambos

Back in the ’80s, you could walk into any kid’s room in the country and the car most likely to be on a poster hanging on the wall was the Lamborghini Countach. That was the exotic car of the decade, and is still the car I think of first when you say the Lambo name.

The car had wild looks, terrible visibility, difficult steering, questionable brakes, and a heavy clutch. It also makes the most glorious sound in the exotic car realm. While you and I may never get to drive one, the guys at EVO got to spend some hands-on time with a yellow 1981 Countach LP-400S.

The 4.0-liter V12 only makes around 300 hp – not much by today’s standards – but the noise it makes is brilliant. Check out the video to see the car in action on a typically rainy UK racetrack.
