Volvo V90 Estate Gets Official: Wagons HO!

After some images leaked last week, Volvo has officially pulled the wraps off its newest wagon: the V90 Estate. This car slips into the high-end 90 range along with the XC90 SUV and S90 sedan. The V90 Estate is built on the Volvo Scalable Product Architecture platform and looks very good.

Volvo fits the estate with their Pilot Assist semi-autonomous drive system with safety features like large animal detection and run-off road mitigation. The car is packed with tech features, including support for Apple CarPlay.

Many of the other details are still unannounced at this time. We do know the V90 Estate gets a T8 Twin Engine plug in hybrid option making about 410 hp and having a 31-mile pure electric driving range. The car will also be available with a Volvo diesel. The V90 is slated for a 2017 release in the US, but that diesel engine isn’t likely to make it stateside.
