Hellcat Powered Wrangler Heading to Moab

When Fiat Chrysler Automobiles debuted the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, some people on the Internet (including myself) proclaimed that we wanted them to “Hellcat all the things!” Later that year, we saw the Charger Hellcat. But since then, we haven’t seen much more Hellcatting. Finally, we’ve seen a concept from Jeep carrying the 707 horsepower monster, and it’s in a modified Jeep Wrangler headed for Moab!

Every year, Jeep prepares some concepts for the loyalists and takes them to the Easter Jeep Safari in Utah. This year the company showed off 7 new concepts that are all pretty awesome, including a Renegade-based pickup truck called the Comanche. But what has everyone excited is the Hellcat-powered Wrangler Trailcat.

Jeep® Trailcat Concept

Under the hood is the 6.2L HEMI Hellcat supercharged V8 making 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. But shoehorning a Hellcat engine in a Wrangler isn’t a simple task. They had to stretch the wheelbase a full 12 inches to make it all work.

Additional exterior enhancements include a power-dome vented hood, Satin Black grille, LED headlights and fog lights, plus rock rails. 39.5 inch BF-Goodrich Krawler T/A KX tires are there to help put the power down no matter what surface you’re on.

Jeep® Trailcat Concept Interior

Inside, the Trailcat has a special shifter with embossed Hellcat logo, the sports seats from the Viper, and Katzkin leather seat covers.

Obviously, this is a concept and the odds of it seeing production are nearly zero, but if you want to start throwing your money towards your computer screens they might make it happen!
