If This Porsche 911 R Video Doesn’t Excite You, Buy a Minivan

I know deep down that I’ll never own a Porsche 911 R, but the mere fact that this car exists makes me happy. In a world where everything is going automated and paddle-shifted, the 911 R gives the middle finger to all that tech and gets down to business with a manual transmission and no superfluous aero bits.

Porsche has posted a new video of a pro driver deeply in tune with the heel-toe, force flogging the 911 R through a desolate landscape and it may well be the best car commercial I have ever seen. Like the car itself, it’s gloriously minimalist.

The noise the 911 R makes is glorious and it just looks awesome. I so want this car.
