2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Digs in with New BFGoodrich Tires

There’s plenty to be excited about with the new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor. After all, it’s got a powerful new turbocharged engine, it weighs substantially less than before, and well, it just looks badass. Now, Ford and BFGoodrich are showing off some very special tires headed to the new Raptor.

The new BFGoodrich all-terrain T/A KO2 tires were developed in parallel with the development of the Raptor, enduring that the tires we’ll be getting in production are perfectly matched to the capabilities of the truck. These hefty new tires offer a rugged new tread pattern with big sidewall lugs to help crawl through challenging terrain, while at the same time a new internal belt configuration means the truck will be more comfortable to ride on the road while you make your way to the off-road trails. The companies also say the new tires will offer longer tread life than previous tires.

After watching the Raptor tear through loose sand and rocks in the video below, I can’t wait to get into one of these trucks and put it to the test:
