Celebrate Independence with this 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S

What better way to celebrate independence – particularly the freedom to hoon, within posted limits, of course – than with a review of the undeniably awesome 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S? Carfection gets behind the wheel of a Sapphire Blue Metallic 572 horsepower, 553 lb-ft torque Turbo S, with a claimed 0-62 mile per hour sprint of 2.9 seconds, and top speed north of 200 miles per hour.

Porsche active suspension management, dynamic chassis control, and carbon composite brakes improve your odds of staying between the white lines when driving. As Alex Goy notes, the Porsche Stability Management mode “allows you to get a little bit closer to the limits of the car, with still a little bit of traction control there to save your ass, although you can turn that off entirely if you want to.”

Enjoy the video, and take a moment to ogle Goy’s sweet Storm Satellite watch as well.
