2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport Packs 200hp, Suspension Upgrade

Hyundai has rolled out its new 2017 Elantra Sport, and the car not only looks good, but it has decent performance to boot. The car packs in a 1.6L Turbo GDI engine that makes 200 hp and 190 lb-ft of torque. That engine can be paired with one of two available transmissions – a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch transmission with paddle shifters.

The car also gets an independent multi-link rear suspension and unique bodywork to set it apart from the standard Elantra. The car also has a special interior and a flat bottom steering wheel.

The Elantra Sport will debut in showrooms in North America in Q4 2016. Hyundai is holding back pricing and full specifications until closer to the sale date. This sounds like it might be a fun little car if the price is right.
