If you buy a Dodge Challenger or Charger Hellcat, you get a whopping 707 hp straight from the factory, thanks to its insanely powerful 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8. But for some gearheads, enough is never enough, and that’s why there’s Hennessey Performance.

In this brief clip, we get a look at Hennessey’s HPE1000 twin-turbo and supercharged combo for the Hellcat engine, running on a shiny black Challenger. The dyno test shows a crazy 848 horses at the rear wheels, or an estimated 1060 horses at the back of the engine. Torque is rated at 987 lb-ft.

In other words, this Hellcat has more horsepower than a McLaren P1 or a Ferrari LaFerrari. Sure, it’s a bit heavier than those hybrid hypercars, but I’m sure that this thing launches like a rocketship down the dragstrip. In fact, it’s said to do 0 to 60 in 2.7 seconds, and 1/4 mile in 9.9 seconds @ 142 mph. Crazysauce.

Turn up your headphones, and drink in the wondrous sounds of this impressive beast.
