Ford Mustang Shelby FP350S Is a Turn-Key Race Winner

Ford Performance has unveiled a new turn-key race car that is eligible to be run in multiple series. The new Shelby FP350S is appropriate for racing in Trans AM TA3 and TA4, NASA, and SCCA club racing.

The car has a 5.2 liter, 4-valve V8 engine making an as yet unrevealed amount of power. Its unibody chassis has been seam welded, and the car has a 6-point FIA-compliant roll cage. Ford also fits it with an ultra-high performance brake system, and upgraded oil pan, oil cooler, and exhaust.

Power goes to the wheels via a Tremec 3160 manual transmission with integral oil pump, shifter, and 3.73 rear final drive. Ford also fits the car with a quick release steering wheel, FIA-compliant racing seat, and MOTEC data acquisition gear. The track-only FP350S will be available soon at Ford dealerships.
