Book by Cadillac is a Subscription for Luxury Cars

Cadillac has announced an unusual new way for the well-to-do to drive in cities where it’s not convenient to own a car. The service is called Book by Cadillac and it gives members access to a fleet of Cadillac Cars without having to lease or buy them. Book members use an app to arrange on-demand access to premium trim Cadillac models, and they are delivered by white-glove drivers.

Current year platinum-trim cars are offered in the service including Cadillac XT5, CT6, Escalade, and V-Series cars. Members can drive each car for up to 30 days and are allowed to exchange cars up to 18 times per year, though CTS-V cars can only be kept for five days at a time. Simply request the car you want and schedule delivery via the Book mobile app. There’s no limit on mileage, and you can drive the cars anywhere in the continental U.S. as long as you bring them back to your original pickup location for return.

Book costs $1,500 monthly, with a $500 initiation fee. The service is month-to-month with no long term contracts.The monthly fee includes registration, taxes, insurance, and maintenance costs. Each car also comes equipped with OnStar, Sirius XM, and 4G LTE connectivity. Members do have to pay for tolls and fuel, but you can also pay Caddy to fill it up.

The first location to get the service will be the New York City metro area.
