2018 Ford Mustang Convertible Revealed
Ford has unveiled the 2018 Mustang convertible and the car has the same cool front and rear end redesigns that the coupe got. Like the coupe, the base V6 has been dropped from the convertible line and the base engine is now the 2.3L EcoBoost. Naturally, convertible buyers can opt for the 5.0L V8 engine as well.
Ford keeps saying that the 5.0L V8 is upgraded, but I haven’t seen any power numbers just yet. Convertibles can also be fitted with the new 10-speed automatic with paddle shifters or a 6-speed manual. Basically, all the same features available to coupe buyers will apply to the convertible, including options for MagneRide suspension, that slick new digital gauge cluster, an active valve exhaust to control the sound output from the big V8.
