Hyundai Ioniq Unlimited+ Program Launches in California

Hyundai says that it has a new way for electric vehicle fans in California to drive an Ioniq EV. The program is called Ioniq Unlimited+ and it sounds a lot like an unlimited mile lease with free maintenance thrown in. The initiation cost is $2,500, and that is offset by California’s electric vehicle rebate. That initiation fee handles first month’s payment and all fees except for California sales tax and dealer charges.

Monthly charges depend on the Ioniq version chosen. The base model is $275 per month, Limited is $305 monthly, and Limited with Ultimate package is $365 monthly. All those fees are not including tax. For the money you get unlimited milage for the 36-month subscription period. More importantly, Hyundai will also give buyers an electricity reimbursement credit for the first 50,000 miles.

The monthly fee includes all maintenance and wear items on the car as well. Hyundai does say that a full credit application and approval is required, so this isn’t like renting a car where you just walk in and drive out.
