Ford has announced an all new package for the Expedition that will launch this fall with the upcoming 2018 model. The new package is the FX4 off-road package and it brings features and tech to the full-size SUV to make it better when it leaves the pavement. The FX4 includes off-road-tuned shocks, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, skid plates, side steps, and FX4 badges.

The FX4 also gets a special Terrain Management System that allows the driver to select modes to optimize driving dynamics to conditions be it snow, mud, sand and more. The FX4 also rolls on all-terrain tires and seven skid plates are there to protect hardware under the car from damage.

Buyers will also get rubber floor liners to capture dirt, mud, and water for easy clean up. Power comes from a 375 hp EcoBoost engine with an impressive 470 lb-ft of torque and a tow rating of 9,300 pounds. Ford hasn’t announced pricing on the Expedition FX4 as of yet.
