2018 Nissan LEAF Can Park Itself

One of the most annoying things that a driver can do in a crowded parking lot is drive past a parking space, stop, throw it in reverse, and then try and back into the spot. This inevitably means that everyone behind them ends up having to back up too so the asshat can back into the spot. Apperently the all-new Nissan Leaf will handle this asshatery for you.

A new video has turned up from Nissan showing the ProPILOT Park feature in action. This feature will automatically back you into tight spots saving you precious milliseconds when you are ready to pull out. Either you back in or you back out. I’ve never understood the benefit of backing into a space.

The new Nissan LEAF premieres on September 6. The 2018 model is expected to get a complete redesign, along with significantly increased driving range and semi-autonomous driving features, like the ones shown in the video below:
