Fantastic 1976 Kremer Porsche 935 Race Car for SaleDecember 10th, 2017
We all know that the Porsche 911 has been many different cars to many different people over the years. If you best like the 911 as a professional race car, then check out this amazing find that’s up for sale on eBay.
What you’re looking at here is a custom-built Porsche 911/935 which was built by Kremer Racing and DP Motorsport back in 1976. The car features a custom chassis, engine, gearbox, and suspension, all of which were optimized for racing. The car spent much of its youth back in Germany, and raced many laps on the Old Nürburgring circuit.
The 935 looks fantastic in its fully-restored Vaillant livery, which definitely has a kind of ’70s retro appeal to it. The car originally featured a 3.4-liter twin-plug racing engine, but was upgraded with a crazy 804 horsepower twin-turbo 3.0-liter Porsche Motorsports 6-cylinder engine back in the 1990s, and was used to race the car to victory in hillclimb championships.
It goes without saying that this amazing vehicle is only meant for the track, and isn’t street legal, but I’m hoping that whoever buys it actually does take it back to the track to put it through its paces, and doesn’t just garage it in a collection.
The car is currently up for sale Elkhart, Wisconsin car seller The Throttle Stop, with an eBay Buy-It-Now price of $399,900. If you’re lucky enough to buy it, maybe you can take it right next door to Road America and take it for a few laps.
