2019 Ford GT Heritage Edition Slathered in Sexy Gulf Livery

Ford has been creating Heritage Edition GTs for a while now wearing liveries that are throwbacks to past racing wins their team has racked up. Now, Ford Performance has announced that it will be making a 2019 Heritage Edition, car and the car will wear perhaps the most iconic of the racing liveries, that of the blue and orange Gulf cars.

The special edition car has exposed carbon fiber on the outside, along with silver mirror caps and Brembo brake calipers painted orange. Inside, there’s ebony Alcantara with contrast blue and orange stitching. The cabin can also be equipped with exposed carbon fiber bits.

Ford plans to make the Heritage Edition during the 2019 to 2020 model years. The 2019 models will wear the number 9 on the hood and doors, with the 2020 models donning the number 6 in the same places. This is to celebrate the same car that won Lemans in ’68 and ’69 with different numbers. With Ford committed to making no more than 1000 total GTs, expect these cars to be very rare indeed.
