US-bound Subaru WRX STI S209 Gets Teased

It seems like most of the time, Subaru’s hopped-up limited edition cars are saved just for their Japanese homeland. This time, however, we’ve got one headed stateside. Subaru Tecnica International has given us a single teaser image of the coming limited-edition WRX STI.
The image is just a shot of part of its grille and S209 badge.There’s no information on what the WRX STI S209 might hold under its hood, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see a WRX with a hotter engine packing more power, better suspension, and other tidbits to set it apart from the regular STI.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to find out more details on the S209, as the car will be revealed on January 14 at the 2019 NAIAS in Detroit.
