McLaren 570S Gain Downforce with New Option

McLaren has been offering buyers of its already very special sports cars a way to make the rides even more exclusive via a range of options. The MSO Defined High Downforce Kit gives the 570S Coupe and Spider some items to increase grip and help the car handle at speed.

The kit includes a pedestal carbon fiber wing, drag-reducing guide vanes under the car, and a high-mounted center stop light. McLaren says that the kit gives the car 165 pounds of additional downforce.

The glossy carbon fiber wing has end plates in painted Palladium gray with silver chromatic MSO branding. The pylons are painted satin black with palladium grey inserts. The parts were tested for performance over 10,000 miles of driving on the Applus IDIADA test track in Spain. Pricing for the upgrade kit hasn’t been announced.
