Jaguar XE SV Project 8 Touring is a Milder Shade of Crazy

Jaguar has announced a milder form of the XE SV Project 8. The new Touring edition looks just a bit more tame, giving up the giant carbon fiber rear wing of the original, in favor of a low profile fixed rear wing. To match that fixed rear wing, the car also gets a fixed front spoiler.

It still uses that bonkers 600PS supercharged 5.0L V8 engine, and goes plenty fast, reaching 60 mph in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 186 mph. That is down considerably from the 200 mph top speed of the first Project 8 cars.

The touring specification will be the most limited edition version with only 15 examples to be mad, eand comes in four different Project 8 paint colors: Valencia Orange, Velocity Blue, Corris Grey Satin, and British Racing Green; body decals are optional. Project 8 cars are priced from £149,995 (~$188,495 USD)
