Ford Ranger Performance Tuning Adds 45 Horses

The Ford Ranger is my favorite small pickup truck on the market today. It has rugged looks, modern driving dynamics, and great power for its size. Now, Ranger owners can now get an added performance boost that’s officially sanctioned by Ford Performance.

The new M-9603-REB tuning package works on 2019 and 2020 Rangers to give their engines an extra 45 horsepower at 4500 RPM and 60 lb-ft of torque at 2500 RPM. That takes the 2.3-liter EcoBoost from 270 hp to 315 hp, and from 310 lb-ft. to 370 lb-ft. of torque. The performance calibration is designed to improve overall throttle response as well as shifting for its 10-speed automatic transmission.

The package is 50-state legal, and is available for both U.S. and Canadian vehicles. Since it’s an official Ford Performance tune, you’ll also get a 3-year/36-month warranty when installed by a Ford dealer or an ASE/Red Seal technician. The ProCal 4 calibration delivery tool and a high-flow K&N air filter are also included in the package’s $825 price tag.
