2021 Acura RDX PMC Edition is Built Alongside the NSX

Acura has announced a  top-of-the-line, limited-edition version of its sporty RDX crossover SUV. The 2021 RDX PMC Edition’s most noticeable feature is that it’s covered in a paint color called Thermal Orange Pearl, a color available on the $157,000+ Acura NSX since 2019. The special paint requires a five-hour application process at the Acura Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio.

The painting process includes multiple layers of orange paint and a gold and orange mica mid coat for the pearl effect. RDX PMC Edition buyers get all the features from the RDX Advance Package along with the A-Spec package. Acura Super Handling All-Wheel Drive is included as well. The special SUVs also get unique 20-inch alloy wheels, a body-color grille surround, black chrome exhaust finishers, and gloss black on the roof, side mirrors, and door handles.

The interior has color-matched orange stitching for the seats, center console, door panels, steering wheel, and floor mats. Other features include a 10.5-inch color heads-up display, 16-way power sport seats trimmed in Ebony Milano leather, and Ultrasuede. The steering wheel and outboard rear seats are heated. Pricing for the RDX PMC Edition is in the low $50,000 range, and each of the 360 units will have a serialized plaque on the center console showing its build number. These limited-edition RDXes will hit dealerships this October.
