ICON is showing off its latest Old School Edition Toyota FJ44 Land Cruiser. The vehicle has been completely restored and features a wide range of modern amenities. Its aluminum body is powder-coated in a Eucalyptus Green color with a seven-layer insulated top in gray. It’s a fantastic color combination that looks old-school and modern at the same time.
The original Toyota engine was ditched in favor of a GM 6.2-liter LS V8, making up to 430 horsepower and 450 lb-ft. of torque. Power goes to an Atlas II 2-speed transfer case via an Aisin Warner AX15 five-speed manual transmission. ICON also significantly upgraded the 1972 truck’s brakes with hydroboost-assisted Brembos.
The FJ44 is ready for just about any terrain. Its suspension is completely redone with FOX Racing coil-overs, Dana 60 rear axles, and Dana 44s in front. The truck rolls on BFGoodrich all-terrain 285/65/18 tires on vintage-inspired forged aluminum wheels.
The interior is also customized with the new state-of-the-art multimedia entertainment system featuring navigation, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and more. The bucket seats are completely upgraded, and a pair of jump seats were added to the vehicle’s rear. ICON is asking for a wallet-busting $237,000 for the Old School FJ44.
