Ford Makes Some Changes to the 2021 Mustang Lineup

Mustang fans will be happy to hear that some nice changes are coming to the 2021 Mustang lineup. We already knew that the Bullitt Mustang has been retired, and the Mach 1 is returning. However, more changes are coming to the Mustang lineup overall, including new features and new colors.

Ford is now making its Co-Pilot360 suite of driver safety technologies standard, including blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, and rain-sensing wipers. Those features were previously an option package for the EcoBoost and GT Mustang.

Colors are being changed with four new hues, including Grabber Yellow (seen above), Antimatter Blue, Fighter Jet Gray, and Carbonized Gray. Unfortunately, the addition of new colors means four older colors are disappearing. The retired colors include Grabber Lime, Kona Blue, Dark Highland Green, and Magnetic.

One of the more exciting changes for 2021 comes with the GT500 receiving a new Carbon Fiber Handling Package that will sit between the entry-level Handling Package and the extremely expensive Carbon Fiber Track Package previously available. The new Carbon Fiber Handling Package takes the adjustable struck top mounts for the normal handling package and combines it with an oil catch can, front canards, and gurney flap on the rear spoiler along with a set of black-painted 20-inch carbon fiber wheels. No pricing details on the option package is announced.
