Toyota Tacoma TRD Factory Lift Kit is the Only Lift Validated for Toyota Safety Sense

Toyota has announced a new lift kit aimed specifically at Tacoma 4×4 owners. The Tacoma TRD Lift Kit is the only lift on the market that’s been validated by TRD engineers to work with the Toyota Safety Sense system. The kit includes a new Toyota Safety Sense millimeter-wave sensor and a new camera support bracket to ensure the systems work properly.

The Tacoma TRD Lift Kit comes with all necessary hardware and is only available as a dealer-installed option. The kit is compatible with all V6 Tacoma 4×4 models except the Double Cab Long Bed and the already-lifted TRD Pro.

The kit lifts the front of the truck by two inches and the rear by 1.5 inches. It includes larger Bilstein shocks all around to improve ride and handling both on and off-road. Toyota says that when the kit is installed, frame ground clearance increases by 1.7 inches. The approach angle improves by 3.1 degrees, breakover angle improves by 1.6 degrees, and departure angle improves by 0.5 degrees. The kit also includes a TRD Pro-style front grill.

The MSRP for the Tacoma TRD Lift Kit is $1350 plus labor, which is estimated to take between four and five hours. Tacoma owners who add the lift after purchase get a one-year, 12,000-mile warranty but add the lift before or at the time of sale, and the warranty is good for three years or 36,000 miles on parts.
