For the 60th anniversary of the iconic Jaguar E-type, Jaguar Classic is releasing a limited-edition of six matched pairs of restored 3.8 E-types: the iconic 9600 HP fixed-head coupe and 77 RW roadster originally launched at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show.
The E-type 60 Edition features a close-ratio five-speed manual gearbox paired with the 3.8-liter inline six-cylinder Jaguar XK engine.
All-mod-cons enhancements and updates include an infotainment system with satellite navigation and Bluetooth, a stainless-steel exhaust system, electronic ignition, and a cooling upgrade with an alloy radiator.
Luxury design elements include a commemorative E-type 60 logo on the hood badge, fuel cap, chassis plate, and clock face in the tachometer. The pièce de resistance? The beech-rimmed steering wheel has a 24-carat gold horn button.
The most eye-catching interior detail is each roadster’s hand-engraved center console: a conceptual map of the route taken by Jaguar test driver Norman Dewis on his epic drive to Switzerland to get the open-top E-type to the 1961 Geneva Motor Show.
