Bentley Bentayga S Makes 542 Horsepower with a 180 mph Top Speed

UK automaker Bentley has revealed the sportiest version of its SUV to date. The vehicle is the Bentayga S, and it promises improved agility and presence and unique support suspension calibration. Special touches for the S model include dark-tinted headlamps, S badging, unique 22-inch wheels, and a high-flow sports exhaust system.

The engine in the Bentayga S is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 making 542 bhp and 568 pound-foot of torque. The SUV remains true to Bentley form inside with a luxurious interior with new color treatments and Alcantara elements. The typical brightwork is painted black, and the vehicle wears a black-painted body kit and black door mirrors.

Despite its size, the vehicle can reach 60 mph in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 180 mph. Bentley says the special suspension is 15 percent stiffer than its other Bentaygas in damping, providing a platform for more a dynamic SPORT mode and ESC tune.

Bentley also says the S introduces Alcantara for the first time to the cabin of the V8-powered Bentayga and can be found across the seat cushions, backrest center panels, gear lever, steering wheel, upper trim, and headlining. Bentayga S buyers can choose four, five, or seven-seat cabin configurations, so you can treat your whole family to a fast and luxurious ride.
