Nissan Z Infographic Shows Its Evolution Over 7 Generations

Now that Nissan has taken wraps off of the new 2023 Nissan Z, we can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the 7th-generation Z car, which now packs a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 engine that makes 400 horsepower. Having experienced that VR30DDTT power plant in the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400, I’m pretty excited for the new Z’s performance upgrades.

While the new Z has a streamlined, modern look, it also pays tribute to classic Z cars, with its profile and grille taking inspiration from the original 240Z and its rear end tipping its hat to the awesome backside of the 1990’s 300ZX. Let’s take a look at the evolution of the Nissan Z, from its humble beginnings as a 151 horsepower, 2238 pound lightweight back in 1970 to its significantly more modern 2023 version, due out in the spring of 2022.
