2022 Kia Niro Hybrid Prices and Fuel Economy Figures Announced

Kia has confirmed some details on the 2022 Niro Hybrid. As far as changes go compared to last year, it appears the only real change is the addition of a new Kia logo badge on the interior and exterior of the vehicle. It continues to offer up to 50 MPG fuel economy and over 63 cubic feet of cargo space.

Available trim levels and pricing are:

  • LX: $24,690
  • LXS: $26,090
  • LXS SE: $27,590
  • Touring SE: $29,890
  • EX Premium: $31,990

All of the MSRPs are in addition to an $1175 destination charge. All versions get the same 1.6-liter GDI engine paired with an electric motor that produces a combined 139 horsepower and 195 pound-foot of torque. The hybrid system uses a 1.56 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery.

Not all versions of the vehicle offer the same fuel economy ratings. The most fuel-efficient is the basic LX offering 53 MPG in the city, 48 MPG on the highway, and 50 MPG combined. The LXS, LXS SE, and EX Premium provide 51 MPG in the city, 46 MPG on the highway, and 49 MPG combined. The least fuel-efficient is the Touring SE offering 46 MPG in the city, 40 MPG on the highway, and 43 MPG combined. All versions from LXS and higher feature standard Kia Drive Wise Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
