Ford Maverick Hybrid is the Most Fuel Efficient Pickup in America

The EPA has released its estimated fuel economy numbers for the 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid pickup. The EPA estimates the vehicle will get 42 miles per gallon in the city, 33 miles per gallon on the highway, and 37 miles per gallon combined. The compact truck promises a range of 500 miles on a single tank of fuel.

With an EPA rating of 42 miles per gallon in the city, the Maverick Hybrid is more fuel-efficient than a 2022 Honda Civic. Despite its impressive fuel economy, the Maverick Hybrid has room for five people inside, as well as towing and hauling capabilities, making it perfect for weekend adventures or trips to the home improvement store.

Ford has also confirmed that the Maverick Hybrid will begin shipping to dealerships in December, with initial customer deliveries in January 2022. The truck is expected to be extremely popular, and Ford expects Maverick Hybrid production for the 2022 model year to be fully reserved by early November. Once all of the 2022 Maverick Hybrid trucks have been committed, orders will close until next summer.

The automaker has confirmed that the non-hybrid Maverick EcoBoost will still be available. That truck is already on sale, and Ford says more are on their way to dealerships.
