Ford Bronco Orders to Pause Starting in March

An internal dealer memo appears to be circulating telling dealerships that Ford intends to pause all 2022 model year Bronco orders on March 8. However, orders for the 2022 Bronco Raptor will continue after March 8. Order banks will open again for the 2023 model year Broncos later in 2022.
The automaker also has some suggestions for Bronco fans to get their order as quickly as possible. There are two options that anyone with an order in place can remove to increase the chances of getting their Bronco faster.
One of the most in-demand options is the Trailer Tow package, with 62 percent of Bronco orders selecting that option. However, Ford warns that it can only build 39 percent of those orders because of shortages in the Trailer Tow hardware. Anyone who can live with a four-pin wiring harness can order an official accessory trailer hitch kit and wiring harness for their Bronco through the dealership.
However, the only way to get a seven-pin connector is to go with the factory option. Ford is still seeing constraints in supply for the Mold in Color hardtop. To enable orders to deliver more quickly, anyone with an order placed can choose the soft top option instead.
Lastly, Ford will stop adding factory paint protection film to 2022 Broncos and suggests that customers talk to dealers about locally-installed options.
