Jeep Adds New Cherokee X Trim for 2022

Jeep has confirmed details about the latest Cherokee range. One of the biggest changes for 2022 is a new Cherokee X trim that promises rugged off-road Jeep styling cues with a unique front fascia and graphics. The vehicle also gets upgraded cloth and vinyl seats with special inserts.

The Cherokee X comes from the factory with a one-inch suspension lift and utilizes a standard 3.2-liter engine. The V6 engine produces 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft. of torque, and can tow 4500 pounds. The other available Cherokee engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four promising 31 MPG and producing 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque.

Four trim levels are available in the Cherokee line now, including the Cherokee X, Latitude LUX, Trailhawk, and Limited. Jeep is also adding new standard equipment for the Latitude LUX trim, including a power liftgate, seven-inch color TFT display, dual-zone climate control, automatic dimming rearview mirror, security alarm, universal garage door opener, and a 115-volt power outlet. All Cherokee trims get the Uconnect 4C infotainment system using an 8.4-inch screen and standard satellite radio.

The Cherokee X is expected to start at about $35,000 with the destination charge included.
