2023 Maserati Grecale Is a Powerful Little SUV

After lots of teasing, Maserati has revealed its new compact SUV. The Grecale is about the same size as a Porsche Macan. The SUV will come in three versions at launch, including a GT utilizing a mild-hybrid 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 296 horsepower and 332 lb-ft. of torque.

The mid-range version is the Modena utilizing a four-cylinder engine making 325 horsepower thanks to mild-hybrid technology. The top-of-the-line version is the Trofeo with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 523 horsepower and 457 lb-ft. of torque. Within a year, Maserati also plans to add the Grecale Folgore that will run on battery electric power with 400V technology.

In Trofeo trim, the SUV can reach 60 mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 177 mph. Maserati also says the vehicle has off-road capabilities, but we doubt a Grecale ever gets taken off-road by an owner. The vehicle is packed with high-end materials and technology, including a 12.3-inch central screen, an 8.8-inch display for additional controls, and a third screen for rear-seat passengers. The vehicle has a Sonus Faber sound system standard for the Premium trim level.

Maserati stopped short of revealing all of the details about the SUV. We don’t know exactly when it will launch, nor do we know how much it will cost.
