2022 Ford GT Holman Moody Heritage Edition Celebrates Le Mans Victory

Ford has revealed another special edition of its halo sports car. The vehicle is the 2022 Ford GT Holman Moody Heritage Edition, and the car pays tribute to the top-three sweep the Ford team pulled off at Le Mans in 1966. The limited-production supercar debuted at the New York International Auto Show alongside a 1966 Ford GT40 MK II.

The vehicle’s exterior is painted in Holman Moody Gold and features Heritage Red and Oxford White accents. Ford also uses lots of exposed carbon fiber to add a bit of modernity to the car’s retro styling.

Underneath the special livery is the same Ford GT, we’re familiar with, packing a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a carbon-fiber body. Exposed carbon fiber components include the 20-inch wheels, front splitter, side sills, mirrors, engine louvers, and rear diffuser. The vehicle’s interior also features lots of carbon fiber, including body-hugging seats covered in ebony Alcantara with gold stitching.

While Ford says the 2022 Ford GT Holman Moody Heritage Edition is “ultra-limited-production,” it doesn’t specify exactly how many of the vehicles it will build. The first deliveries will take place this spring, and the car is available to all approved Ford GT customers.
