Polestar 2 BST Edition 270: An Electric Driver’s Car

Polestar has revealed a version of its Polestar 2 electric vehicle with the goal of making the best electric driver’s car ever. The special model is called the Polestar 2 BST Edition 270.

The car uses a pair of electric motors making 476 horsepower and 502 lb-ft. of torque, and powered by a 78 kWh battery pack. The special edition brings modifications, including a 25-millimeter lower ride height and special Ohlins two-way adjustable dampers with auxiliary adjustment chambers.

Other tweaks include a front strut bar, 20 percent stiffer springs, and unique 21-inch wheels. The wheels are fitted with stickier Pirelli P Zero tires developed just for the car. Polestar offers the limited-edition model in Thunder or Snow exterior colors, both with charcoal interiors. Options include a matte black body stripe or a full-body satin Battleship Gray wrap.

Pricing and availability for the Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 are unannounced at this time. The vehicle will be sold in Europe, North America, and China, with 47 of the 270 units planned for the US. Production will begin in mid-2022, with the first deliveries available sometime in Q4.
