2024 Jeep Wagoneer S EV SUV: Jeep Finally Takes on the Electric Trail

Jeep finally joins the growing electric vehicle market with the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S. The five-passenger SUV may not be as capable in extreme conditions as its Trailhawk concept version, but it still offers all-weather driving capabilities.
The Wagoneer S has a 100 kW battery that lasts up to 300 miles per charge. Topping it up via DC fast charging gets you from 20% to 80% in just 23 minutes. It uses two electric drive modules (EDM), which combine the motor, gearing, and electronics into a compact unit. One EDM powers the front wheels, and the other is for the rear wheels. This setup has a total output of 600 hp and 617 lb-ft. of torque, allowing the SUV to hit an impressive 0-to-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds.
To help keep you in control in any driving condition, the Wagoneer S has all-electric four-wheel drive and Jeep’s Selec-Terrain traction management system, which gives you five driving modes: Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow, and Sand.
Jeep says that the 2024 Wagoneer S has 35% improved body torsion stiffness compared to previous mid-size Jeeps, which should make the ride more comfortable and quiet. Jeep may not be known for speed or efficiency, but the car’s drag coefficient of 0.29 is still a feat. It’s the lowest ever for a Jeep vehicle and 15% better than that of average SUVs.
Inside, the cockpit is dominated by a trio of displays, including a touchscreen for the front passenger. The customizable LED lighting (as well as the black accents in the exterior) seen in these pictures are exclusive to the Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition. What is standard are the heated and ventilated rear seats. The Wagoneer S also offers a high-end hi-fi system, with McIntosh providing a 1200-watt sound system consisting of 19 speakers, including a 12-inch subwoofer.
The 2024 Wagoneer S will be available in the US and Canada this fall, with a starting price of $71,995.
