2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Has an Even More Performance-focused Package

Cadillac recently announced the latest iteration of their beloved luxury sport sedan. Like the standard CT5-V, the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing is rocking a more aggressive look. It also has updated lap-tracking tech and a new track-focused package.

The 2025 CT5-V Blackwing has a new front fascia, notably its grille, LED headlamps, and front fenders. The car also comes in three new colors, including a sweet emerald green one that will probably be the most popular choice. It also gets several optional carbon fiber add-ons, including a package with a front splitter.

The other major update is in the car’s tech stack. Both CT5-V models have a new 33-inch touchscreen, like the one seen in the latest XT4 . The Performance Data Recorder – which has tools like a lap analyzer, real-time lap time details, and specific tips on improving lap times – has been overhauled. There’s also a new app that shows performance metrics such as power, torque, g-force, and engine vitals.

The heart of the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing remains unchanged from its current version, which is already plenty powerful for its class. The 6.2 liter supercharged V8 pumps out up to 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque, with a six-speed manual transmission option alongside the 10-speed auto.

The main exclusive for the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing is its Precision Package. It adds better springs and suspension bushings, a larger front stabilizer bar, as well as new front steering knuckles and rear suspension toe links. Its magnetic dampers, steering, chassis controls, and electronic limited slip differential have also been tuned to improve steering and stability going in and out of corners. Finally, the Precision Package upgrades the Brembo brakes to fancy carbon ceramic ones.

No pricing or release dates have been announced for the CT5-V Blackwing, only that production will begin this summer for the standard units, while those with the Precision Package will be built in early 2025. Between the new Corvette ZR1, the Cadillac Sollei Concept, and this updated V-series, GM has been cooking.
