2025 Toyota Tundra Brings TRD Rally Package and Updated Tech

Toyota’s full-size pickup truck has received some minor updates for its latest model year. The 2025 release of the Texas-made towing machine remains as powerful as the 2024 Tundra, but it does have a new, sweet rally-inspired package along with a few new bells and whistles.

The TRD Rally Package for the 2025 Tundra sprinkles a bit of Toyota Baja racing onto the workhorse. It includes 18-inch TRD off-road wheels, all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, and an electronic locking rear differential. It also features the familiar TRD red, orange, and yellow accents both on the exterior and in the interior.

As for the rest of the lineup, there’s a new camera system that can show a top-down view of the truck as well as certain parts of the vehicle such as the rear truck bed on the multimedia display. There’s also a hitch view to assist with connecting trailers, and a rear split view that lets you keep an eye on the sides of your trailer.

The 2025 Tundra also has an optional battery-powered wireless camera that’s designed to be attached to the rear of a trailer. The feed from the camera can then be shown on the digital rear-view mirror or on the infotainment display.

Another neat new bonus in the 2025 Tundra is the knee-lift assist that lets you close the power tailgate with a simple nudge. Handy if you have your hands full.

Finally, massaging front seats are coming to the 1794, Platinum, and Capstone trims. They have 10-way power adjustment as well as separate options for upper and lower body massage.

Otherwise, the truck remains largely the same. It still offers the gas-powered i-FORCE twin-turbo V6 that maxes out at 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft. of torque, as well as the hybrid i-FORCE MAX that adds an electric motor to boost the total max output to 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft. of torque. The 2025 Toyota Tundra should be available this fall with the base model starting at $42,035.
