Cadillac’s performance division took the Lyriq electric SUV and turned it up to 11. New for 2026, the Cadillac Lyriq-V offers the fastest launch time of any production Caddy yet, zooming from 0-to-60 mph in just 3.3 seconds in what the company calls “Velocity Max” mode.
Shown here in a sweet metallic color called Magnus Metal Frost, the all-wheel-drive Lyriq-V is powered by two motors with a combined output of 615 horsepower and 650 lb-ft. of torque. A 102 kWh battery pack provides up to 285 miles of range. It’s compatible with DC fast charging and can add about 75 miles of range in 10 minutes. Cadillac also says it can add as much as 44 miles of juice per hour at home with their GM Energy PowerShift wall charger, though that required a dedicated 100-amp circuit and an optional 19.2 kW AC charging module.
Other upgrades for the V model include an adaptive variable suspension and Brembo performance brakes up front. The whole shebang rolls on oversized 22-inch alloy wheels in a dark finish, wrapped in low-profile summer tires. In addition to its launch control feature, the Lyriq-V has a special Competitive Mode, which optimizes the traction control system for optimal performance. A carbon fiber ground effects kit is also available as an upgrade.
The dimensions of the Lyriq-V are very similar to those of the standard Lyriq: 197 inches long, 86.9 inches wide including mirrors, and 64.1 inches high. However, the ground clearance is almost an inch lower, at 6.1 inches. In addition to the EV’s low center of gravity, its short front and rear overhangs and 122-inch wheelbase should help with handling. Like most electric vehicles, this one is hefty, weighing in at 5980 pounds.
Inside the cabin, there’s a special V performance steering wheel and unique V-badged sport seats in luxurious Nappa leather. This model also includes a fixed glass roof and GM’s excellent Supercruise hands-free highway driving tech as standard. Other features include a crisp 33-inch curved display panel that combines the instrument cluster, multimedia touchscreen, and an augmented reality head-up display. The 23-speaker AKG audio system with Dolby Atmos should crank out some serious sound.
Pricing for the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V starts at $78,595, but the example shown in the photos here has options that brought its price to a budget-busting $94,085.
