The Peugeot e-Legend Is a Fantastic Flashback Packing Modern Tech

The Peugeot e-Legend Is a Fantastic Flashback Packing Modern Tech
It’s been a very long time since Peugeot sold cars here in the U.S., and I don’t think that’s changing any time soon. But if they ever decided to come back here, this is the car I’d want them to start with. The e-Legend is an all-new concept car that seamlessly blends retro and modern aesthetics.

Infiniti Project Black S Prototype Uses F1 Hybrid Tech

Infiniti Project Black S Prototype Uses F1 Hybrid Tech
Infiniti has unveiled its latest prototype, and it’s impressive. It’s called the Project Black S, and  was built with help from the Renault Sport F1 team. The tech used in the car is a hybrid system consisting of a pair of MGU-H (motor generator unit-heat) on each of its V6’s two turbos, and an MGU-K (motor generator unit- kinetic) that captures power from braking and shunts it to a battery. That captured energy is used to charge a battery and improve performance.

Concepts from Future Past: 1989 Ferrari Mythos

Concepts from Future Past: 1989 Ferrari Mythos
Back in 1989, Ferrari commissioned Sergio Pininfarina to design a new concept car which was intended to combine modern technology with the racing spirit of 1960s barchettas. Based on the Testarossa platform, the Ferrari Mythos had a smooth, curvy body style which was a great departure from the linear and pointed looks of the Testarossa. Of particular note was just how wide the Mythos was in the rear, measuring 8.2

Concepts from Future Past: 2004 Saturn Curve
GM’s Saturn brand may no longer be with us, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t come up with some interesting cars along the way. Back in 2004, they showed off a rather nifty looking sports coupe called the Curve. Designed by Saab’s former head of design Michael Mauer, the car was shown alongside the concept for the cool, but shortlived Saturn Sky.

Honda Civic Type R Pickup Concept Hauls All the Nopes

Honda Civic Type R Pickup Concept Hauls All the Nopes
I’ll just start out by saying this: The Honda Civic Type R Pickup concept isn’t pretty. It’s sort of like a couple of attractive people had a baby that turned out to be ugly. It looks like the bastard love child of a Civic Type R and a Ridgeline, and I don’t like it at all.

10 of the Sexiest Lines from the 2018 Chicago Auto Show

10 of the Sexiest Lines from the 2018 Chicago Auto Show
If cars are indeed your thing, then what is the equivalent of having tasteful amounts of sex appeal? Does it go beyond beltline curves, carbon fiber, Alcantara, and aluminum? The vehicular landscape is one that comes littered with both staggeringly good and bad design touches, and while concepts like Infiniti’s insanely sleek Q Inspiration stirred the Detroit auto show this year, there’s a lot to love about Chicago’s shindig a couple weeks later as well. Chicago’s McCormick Place is the sort of split-hall structure that can accommodate throngs of buyers and journalists alike, a vaulted wonderland hell-bent on giving your feet blisters and an automotive experience like no other.

Concepts from Future Past: American Motors Astra-Gnome

Concepts from Future Past: American Motors Astra-Gnome
I have a strange affinity for unusual concept cars. One of the wackiest designs I’ve stumbled across in my travels has to be the American Motors Astra-Gnome, a “space age” concept that dates back to 1956. The car was designed by Richard Arbib as a look forward towards the future, incorporating design elements that made it look like hovercar of sorts – though it still rode on wheels.
