Toyota Teases Two Very Different Concepts for Tokyo 2017
Toyota is heading to the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show with a couple of really interesting new concept cars, including an eco-friendly sports coupe, and a rugged, boxy crossover. First up is the Toyota GR HV SPORTS Concept, a 2-seater that’s designed to offer performance, while taking advantage of a modern hybrid drivetrain. The GR HV SPORTS looks like a highly modified Toyota 86, but packs a hybrid racing system which inherits tech from the one in Toyota’s LMP1 TS050 hybrid race car.

Suzuki hasn’t sold its cars in the US since 2012, but their vehicles are still quite popular in Asia and other parts of the world. One car they still sell a lot of is the Suzuki Jimny, a series of compact 2-door mini SUVs they’ve been making since way back in 1970.

Kia Proceed Wagon Concept Looks Fantastic

Kia Proceed Wagon Concept Looks Fantastic
The Kia Cee’d is one of those average compact daily drivers that those of us here in the States have only heard about because of its numerous appearances on Top Gear.¬†But Kia is showing off a new concept car that could point to a spectacular future for the Cee’d, and have us here in the states green with envy if we don’t get it. The Proceed Concept is a very different car from the Cee’d – a truly modern station wagon with an exceptionally long wheelbase, low, sloping roofline – with a slick illuminated outline, and curves everywhere.

That Time Chevy Made a Batmobile Corvette

That Time Chevy Made a Batmobile Corvette
The Batmobile that ended up in the late ’60s Batman TV series was a highly customized 1955 Lincoln Futura. But there was also a chance it could have been a Chevy Corvette. According to Randy Leffingwell’s 2012 book Corvette Sixty Years, before the show went into production, the show’s creators apparently approached General Motors’ designers to create their take on the Dynamic Duo’s ride.

Volkswagen has a whole bunch of new vehicles in the works, and like most major car manufacturers, at least one of them is a compact crossover. After all, with vehicles like the Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3, Nissan Juke, and Toyota C-HR dominating the market, it was only a matter of time before VW made a proper entry into the class.

Epic 1969 Restomod “Eleanor” Mustang for Sale
While some people are sticklers for using all original parts when restoring classic cars, I rather enjoy well-done restomods as well, in which the spirit of the original car is preserved, but its updated with modern performance parts, a typically made more bold and aggressive in styling.

Concepts from Future Past: 1982 Ford Ghia Brezza

Concepts from Future Past: 1982 Ford Ghia Brezza
The 1980s kicked off a rather long era of unappealing cars Рespecially from the big-three US automakers. Sure, there were a handful of cool cars made between 1980 and 2000, but not many. One of the more interesting concepts to emerge during the era was the Brezza, which was jointly designed by Ford and Ghia, and emerged at the 1982 Turin Auto Show. While its sweeping profile and covered rear wheels were somewhat similar to the Honda Insight that would come in 1999, I much prefer the styling of the Brezza, which frankly looks a bit like they took an early Fox Body Mustang and just rounded out all the sharp corners.
